When custom wins
Templates and page builders are fine until they're not: the site loads in four seconds, the SEO structure fights you on every page, and the "customization" you need turns out to require rebuilding half the theme anyway. Custom wins when speed is a competitive advantage, when your content structure doesn't fit a template, when you need integrations (CRMs, booking, payments), or when the site is really a web application wearing a marketing site's clothes.
I built a full directory platform for the Italian nautical market structured for SEO from day one, a recruitment platform with role-based access and multimedia profiles, and business sites that pull live reviews automatically. Different shapes, same discipline: fast, findable, and built to convert.

What I build
Business websites
Marketing sites with a point of view — clear positioning, fast loads, and contact paths that actually get used.
Directories & marketplaces
Searchable listings, filters, location search, reviews — the full directory pattern, SEO-structured from the start.
Dashboards & web apps
Internal tools and customer portals: role-based access, real-time updates, and reporting your team will open daily.
Booking & lead-gen sites
Sites designed around one action — the call, the booking, the quote request — with every section earning its place.
Site redesigns
Keep what Google loves, fix what users hate. Redirects mapped, content preserved, trust transferred — not torched.
Performance rescues
Existing site too slow? Audits with real Core Web Vitals data and fixes ordered by impact, with before/after proof.

The SEO-first build checklist
Every site I ship includes this. It's the foundation rankings are built on:
- ✓Semantic HTML with a clean heading hierarchy — one H1, logical H2s
- ✓Meta titles and descriptions written for humans and click-through, not stuffed
- ✓XML sitemap, robots.txt, and canonical URLs from day one
- ✓Schema markup (Organization, Person, FAQ, Product where relevant)
- ✓Green Core Web Vitals: fast LCP, stable layout, responsive input
- ✓Images in modern formats, lazy-loaded below the fold
- ✓Internal linking structure that distributes authority sensibly

How we'll work
- 01
Discovery — free call
Your goals, your audience, your content. We define what the site must do — then I tell you the cheapest way to do it well.
- 02
Structure & copy direction
Sitemap, page hierarchy, and conversion paths agreed before a pixel is placed. Structure is SEO; we don't improvise it.
- 03
Build & review
You review a staging site with your real content. Two revision rounds included — structured, not endless.
- 04
Launch & handover
Analytics, Search Console, sitemaps verified live. Docs and a walkthrough so updating content never needs a developer.

Questions, answered
Why not just use WordPress or a page builder?
For a simple brochure site, WordPress is fine — I'll tell you that honestly. Custom wins when you need real speed (page builders are heavy), a specific SEO structure, custom integrations, or a web app behind the marketing pages. If Elementor does the job, I'll say so and save you money.
Will my site rank on Google?
I build every site SEO-ready: semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, meta architecture, XML sitemaps, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals in the green. That's the foundation rankings are built on. (Ongoing content and backlinks are the other half — I can advise on both.)
How fast will it load?
My target is under 2 seconds on a mid-range phone and green Core Web Vitals across the board. No page-builder bloat, optimized images served in modern formats, minimal JavaScript. Speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor — I treat it as a feature, not a nice-to-have.
Can you redesign our existing site?
Yes — and I'll start by telling you what to keep. A redesign audit covers what's working (traffic, conversions, content worth preserving with proper redirects) before anything gets touched. No one wants to lose three years of Google trust to a pretty redesign.
What's the timeline for a custom website?
A marketing site: 2–4 weeks. A directory or platform with user accounts and search: 6–10 weeks. A full web application: let's scope it. You'll get a fixed timeline with milestones after a free scoping call.
Let's build the site your business deserves.
